Major airports battle lateness across the nation
Government data show more than a quarter of flights into 11 major airports were at least 15 minutes late in January through May. Seattle Tacoma and New York LaGuardia led with 31.3 and 31.1 percent late, while Los Angeles and others also topped 25 percent. Officials cite runway shortages and capacity limits as causes.

Atlantis Returns From Space Station Mission
The space shuttle Atlantis and its five crew members left the international space station on Sunday and head for Kennedy Space Center nine days after lift off. The crew installed a 164 million passageway for space walkers and connected high pressure gas tanks making the station more autonomous with a new air lock. They reported minor hiccups including air and water leaks a bulky valve a screeching pump and a computer crash but expect to meet again on Earth in about a month.
