Ames man builds vast rare car collection from Model T roots
Grant Quam of Ames has grown a 60 car collection valued near eight hundred thousand dollars, starting with a 1912 Model T Ford bought in 1950 from a Boone man. He owns rare models like a 1925 Kissel Gold Bug and a 1936 Pierce Arrow, with more cars at Roland and downtown garages.
