Supervisors Briefed on I 380 Route Details

DOT and county officials met in Cedar Rapids to outline I 380 between Cedar Rapids and Waterloo. Interchanges overpasses and closures were mapped with minor refinements possible, surveying to begin in August and design hearings planned for July 1977.

Aluminum Cans Recycled Surges in 1974

The 2.3 billion all aluminum cans returned to New York recycling centers in 1974 rose 44 percent from 1973, saving energy since recycling uses 5 percent of the energy of initial production.
