Habitat volunteers honor Barrow and Chan on Women Build home
Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity honors Linda Barrow and Wai Yin Chan, longtime volunteers, as a new home in Coralville nears completion for Mohamed and Shaza from Sudan. The couple, with four children, immigrated in 2015 and expect safety and better schools. Mohamed, formerly an engineer, now works as a machine operator. Shaza trains as a dental assistant. The home is sold to qualified applicants with each adult contributing 250 hours of sweat equity.
