Veterans dispute atom study on bone cancer among ex-GIs

The National Academy of Sciences found no unusual bone cancer levels among Hiroshima Nagasaki veterans but the National Association of Atomic Veterans argues many cases were ignored. The VA opposes an epidemiological study and a panel counted nine multiple myeloma cases among 1,187 surveyed veterans.
