Black entrepreneurship study targets Cedar Rapids
University of Iowa researcher Edgar Czarnecki reports Cedar Rapids, with 110,000 residents, shows black discrimination in business. He cites few black-owned firms, fundraising barriers, and limited networking with white professionals, urging a community program and a full-time coordinator to promote black capitalism and economic development. The plan calls for training, loans, and partnerships with white leaders and local firms.
