Dinner honors veteran Marion city employees
Marion's police chief Robert Zier and street superintendent Delmar Burns will be among 42 city workers recognized at a Longbranch Supper Club dinner tonight. Burns has 31 years of service, Zier 27, with others at least 10 years. City Manager Carl Ramey says the event, first of its kind, will be an annual tribute to dedicated city employees. Ninety six reservations had been made by Wednesday afternoon. The city is covering dinner costs for honorees.
