Marion Nears Landfill Contract With Linn County Board
Marion City Council moved toward signing a landfill agreement with Linn County supervisors amid concerns over reduced benefits and higher fees. The basic per capita rate rises from 3.50 to 4.00, with a 1.50 charge per load for trash disposal. Council members pressed for broader representation and questioned equipment costs and yard waste charges. An executive session followed on salary strategy as plans for a new police station bond issue were noted.
