Iowa farmers see improved corn and soybean prospects after drier week
In the week ending July 11 rainfall was 1.2 inches, allowing about 3.5 days of field work. Iowa corn was 20 percent excellent and 51 percent good with 24 percent tasseling. Soybeans rated 17 percent excellent and 52 percent good, but 83 percent very poor in some areas.
