Diesel fuel smuggling rings flood Texas border
Smugglers move Mexican diesel at 17 cents a gallon to as high as 1.30, fueling rings that reportedly trafficked up to 100 million gallons into Texas last year. Officials say Texas loses 5 to 6 million dollars yearly in taxes as investigators pursue large operations and curb smaller schemes.
