Weyerhaeuser to take 82 million charge over class action
Weyerhaeuser Co will record an after tax charge of 82 million dollars in the second quarter to cover costs of a nationwide class action settlement and related hardboard siding claims. Intermec to end Cedar Rapids manufacturing operations

Calm words pay off at cattle show at Iowa County Fair
Wes Kriegel, a 16 year old 4 H exhibitor from Deep River, calmed his Charolais heifer with gentle talk and touch during judging. Rob Rudolphi of Williamsburg won with his Shorthorn. Kriegel placed second in the crossbred senior yearling heifers. Kriegel plans to keep his heifer for his grandfather’s Guernsey herd. The fair runs through Wednesday with multiple events including shows, a parade of champions, and a sale.
