Elderly man killed by Des Moines curb liner accident
Frederick Lester Wittich 67, returned from a fishing trip and was crushed to death by a Des Moines Railway curb liner at a turnabout. Driver Guy B. Clark 59, claimed he did not see the man until he heard a scream. Wittich was dragged about 15 feet, found with a cane and fish from his trip.
