Solon woman arraigned in Broward first degree murder
Ashley Truitt, 18, appeared in a Broward County court in Florida for arraignment on a first degree murder charge. She pleaded not guilty after a grand jury indicted her for allegedly giving birth in a hotel bathroom and discarding the newborn down a trash chute during a family vacation in Pompano Beach. The state will not seek the death penalty due to her age and circumstances. she is held without bond, facing a mandatory life sentence if convicted.

Charges filed in Cedar Rapids golf cart vandalism case
Police say a group of juvenile boys vandalized golf carts at Ellis Park Course and Jones Park, taking eight carts at Ellis Park and damaging property valued at more than 10,000 dollars per incident.
