Eight hour siege ends with burglary suspect captured
Chester and Lola Reisner learned Friday night of an all night Cedar Rapids siege at their Glass Road home while returning from a Colorado trip. Police say two suspects were involved. Thomas Edmund Miller of Des Moines was shot and Lloyd Ulysses Robinson of Cedar Rapids was taken into custody after eight hours. Police Chief Raymond Baker described officers surrounding the residence as a silhouette was seen in a window until a suspect fled.
