Cedar Lake Grant Rejected Again by State Agency
Cedar Rapids City Parks Director David Kramer announced two federal grant applications for Cedar Lake Park were denied by the Iowa Conservation Commission. The $82,250 grant would have covered about half the project cost for a 0.75 mile trail and park improvements. The project rated 130. funded applications ranged 142 to 150. Next year may reassess unless withdrawn. Kramer favors using $110,000 in Community Development funds for Cedar Lake instead.
