Hostess to go public in $2.3 billion SPAC deal
Hostess Brands, maker of Twinkies and Ding Dongs, will be bought by Gores Holdings for 725 million in cash plus debt as the SPAC takes the company public by year end. Apollo Global Management and C. Dean Metropoulos will own about 42 percent of the merged group, with Metropoulos remaining executive chairman.

Hoverboard recall covers 501000 units over fire risk
The U S Consumer Product Safety Commission says ten companies recall 501000 hoverboards after numerous battery fires and overheating incidents. Sixty incidents involve burns or property damage. buyers are urged to stop use and seek refunds or repairs. Models from eight importers and two retailers are affected. Batteries are lithium ion and were made in China.
