Emma Faltis widow of Frank J Faltis of 110 Wilson Avenue SW died Wednesday after a long illness. Born April 20 1882 near Walford she and her husband retired from farming in 1936 and moved to Cedar Rapids. Survived by daughter Mrs Lester Jansa of Fairfax a son Emil of Cedar Rapids and two brothers Joseph and John Lenicek of Fairfax. Services 9 am Saturday Brush chapel and 9 30 in St Ludmila s church Rev A L Zachar. Rosary 8 pm Friday at the chapel. Burial Czech National cemetery.
Mary Martin aged 97 died Wednesday in Mt. Morris Illinois where she had lived 14 years formerly of Cedar Rapids. Born September 13 1874 in Abbots town Pennsylvania she married Harry Martin January 19 1895 in Cedar county. She lived on a Marion area farm before moving to Cedar Rapids in 1927 and belonged to the Church of the Brethren for 78 years. Her sister Evelyn Miller of Cedar Rapids is the sole Iowa survivor. Services Friday at 10 am Finch Funeral Home Mt. Morris with burial at Oak Shade Cemetery Marion about 3 pm Friday.
