J Walter Boyt age 65 of Des Moines died Tuesday after a long illness. He led the Boyt Company a nationally known harness and leather goods maker founded by his father. Four Dickinson county men faced liquor sale charges after raids Sunday night. Eido Benit Hi Ho club owner Russell Rute bartender Harry Allen and Walter Froelich were charged. another suspect Axel Anderson fled. A whisky case was found at the Hi Ho shed and two drinks plus a pint were bought at the Orleans ballroom.

Two Women Killed in County Road Crash Near Sutherland
In a two car crash nine miles northeast of Sutherland on a county road, Mrs. John Ginger 55 of Sutherland and Mrs. Lottie Cooper of Creston Mont visiting cousin were killed.
