Kostlan Building to Be Razed for Brick Structure
Traer replaces the four frame Kostlan building on Main Street with a one story brick business block. The Street barber shop remains in front, with an apartment for the Streets in the rear. Lumber from the old building will be reused for a chicken house on the Kostlin farm southwest of town tenanted by Lester Ludvicek. Benjamin Holt, a Californian, invented the caterpillar farm tractor in 1900.

Mr and Mrs Louis Estes built a two feet longer version of a New York World's Fair model at 1915 Johnson Ave NW Cedar Rapids.
