County Board Approves ARPA Funds for 2025 Road Project
The three member Board of Supervisors authorized funding sources totaling about 10 million for a 2025 roads project. ARPA funds of 7.4 million plus 700 thousand FEMA unallocated aid for a 2020 derecho damaged barn, 8 million from local option sales tax, and other sources will finance the bid ready plan. Assets for sale include the Secondary Roads District 1 Shop at Morgan Creek Park and the Engineering Office for roughly 1.2 million, with a 40 thousand per acre estimate for 30 to 40 acres and a conservation shed to remain. The Fillmore building, once housing the winter shelter, is valued at 2.1 million but not yet sold. The project also taps unspent capital improvement funds and may attract additional contributions.
