Group nominates Robert A. Lee center for National Register
Iowa City residents Robert A. Lee Community Recreation Center advocate Mary Bennett and collaborators Jan Olive Full and Jill Fishbaugh filed a 2022 nomination with the National Park Service to place the center on the National Register of Historic Places. The effort highlights architectural features and its community role, noting the listing is largely honorific with no binding preservation mandates.
