Wind gusts hamper battle against Northern California wildfires
Firefighters partial containment of the County Fire west of Sacramento rose to 25 percent as 2,900 crews battled wind gusts up to 25 mph. About 1,345 homes were evacuated with 82,700 acres scorched. Smoke reached San Francisco area. no fatalities reported. Meanwhile Colorado faced eight major fires burning 140,000+ acres and Spring Fire at 94,125 acres. Danish suspect Jesper Joergensen is held on arson charges.
