BICYCLING Riders trek 4 000 miles to beat cancer
About 70 students including Catherine Butschi bicycle from Austin to Anchorage in the Texas 4000 charity ride raising funds for cancer research. They have logged 2 000 plus miles in roughly 30 days, with 600 000 plus dollars raised and educational programs along the route. Courts Delay Likely in Burlington Police Records Dispute
The case over whether Burlington Police and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation must release records on the 2015 fatal shooting of Autumn Steele faces a likely postponement. The Iowa Public Information Board charged the agencies with violating public records law, while appeals and motions hinge on access to body and dash camera videos and other documents. The Nov. hearing could be delayed as the board weighs the agencies' blanket privilege claims and requests.
