Liquor Council to Decide Gallagher Fate in Iowa
Gov. Ray says the liquor council that hired Rolland Gallagher will decide if he remains as head of the Iowa beer and liquor control department. Gallagher faces a misdemeanor charge for accepting a gift from a business associate. Polk County grand jury indictments accuse state liquor officials of bribery and conspiracy over liquor store leases, with trial dates set in August.
