Davenport police seek the owner of two Rottweiler dogs that attacked a champion long distance runner during a Saturday morning training run. The incident left the top runner injured and police are reviewing surveillance footage and witnesses for leads.
Bonnie Busch 42 of Bettendorf was dragged about a half block by two 145 pound dogs at 6 a.m. She survived surgery for elbow and biceps injuries and was listed in good condition. The dogs are quarantined at the Humane Society of Scott County. owner unknown. If found, owner faces possible misdemeanor charges. assault charges could follow if intent to attack is proven.
