Governor delays Iowa Job Service closings to seek funds

Gov. Robert Ray announced 41 Job Service of Iowa satellite offices will stay open for at least another month and 58 of 273 workers will remain on the payroll. Funding will come from a penalty and interest fund, costing about 97000 dollars to sustain operations through February while Congress may provide extra money.
