President Carter after a two hour test at Bethesda Naval Hospital announced he is feeling great. Rear Adm. William Lukash said the results are entirely normal and the president can respond fully to the demands of office. This was his first major physical since taking office.
AP reports researchers Langley and Steinmetz argue husband beating is underreported and as widespread as wives being abused. Langley estimates 12 million men abused by wives, with 1 million severely beaten, while Steinmetz cites 280000 husbands facing severe harm from spouses.
