Two Iowans Die In Separate Vehicle Crashes
Two Iowans were killed Tuesday in separate accidents. Olin Halsne, 36, of rural Clear Lake died after his car collided with a freight train near Hanlontown and he was pronounced dead at Mason City hospital. Carl Lynn Carlson, 6, of rural Meriden died when crushed against a corn crib by a truck driven by his father Delbert Carlson who said he did not know the boy was near the crib as he backed the vehicle.
