Judge Clock Describes Red Flannel Underwear From Youth
Judge Sherwood A. Clock of Hampton, chair of a contest court, offers a humorous expert description of authentic red flannel underwear as worn by Iowa pioneers. He notes the fabric, cut, and warmth, claiming the original garments were home made and scarce. He explains genuine red flannels are a relic of the eighties and unlikely to be found in modern trunks.
