A shooter attacked the Lincoln Park relief office injuring three staff and killing Hal Arden 24 and his mother 52. Arden then killed himself after realizing he had killed his mother. Miss Alice Irwin 23, a relief visitor, died from a bullet in Arden's flat. Miss Caro line Wallace supervisor, Neil Neilson and Hazel Duggan were wounded.
The House passed a bill revising treasury financing and authorizing more than 11 billion dollars in new securities by a 152 to 30 vote. The measure aims for flexible economical government financing to meet expenditures and will not change the total federal debt outstanding.

Seven precincts reported Clark 808 Haas 764, with five net votes gained from a miscount. Recounted totals at halfway show Clark ahead 1,005 to 973 in another set of precincts as 58 ballots remained under test. The three judges adjourned to complete the Jones county recount on Monday.
