The Cedar Rapids Area Soap Box Derby offers free construction kits to the first 20 new youngsters registering at an information meeting Saturday at the Central YMCA. Ages 9 to 16 may register with a parent. $5 fee. Kits include plans and hardware. wood and paint are provided by contestants. Free helmet, T shirt, trophies, derby banquet, and clinics follow on Saturdays in February March and April.
