Ted Williams Signs 19th Red Sox Contract

Boston AP reports Ted Williams signed his 19th contract with the Red Sox in a 25 minute session with new GM Stanley R. Harris in Harris office at Fenway Park. retiring GM Cronin sat in on the conference as the first 1947 contract not offered by Cronin. Williams, set to be a 20 year major leaguer on May 30, arrived in a hurried manner and went straight to Harris.
