Whole-wheat bread does not block calcium absorption study says
Purdue University researchers measured calcium absorption using radio-labeled calcium in bread cereal and cookies made from wheat. They found skim milk with whole-wheat products does not reduce calcium uptake, except with high fiber bran cereals, while dairy remains major calcium source.
