Reynolds orders cooperation with fed immigration agencies
Gov. Reynolds directs Iowa public safety and corrections to fully cooperate with federal immigration authorities and to contact them if there is reasonable suspicion of a violation. The memo, aimed at Day 1 enforcement under the Trump administration, drew criticism from immigrant advocacy group Escucha Mi Voz which urged protecting families and essential workers.
