Firefighters seek reopening of wage talks in Marion
Marion firefighters ask the city to reopen wage negotiations during their two year contract. City Manager Larry Asaro informed the council of the request noting the union cites a reopening clause while the city says the second year was settled. The IAFF notes both a 6.5 percent raise and clothing allowance, with critics citing 6 percent raises and 10 percent inflation. A meeting is likely in a couple weeks.
