Buchanan County man is injured in house fire
A 52-year-old man, Kenneth Van Cleave, was found unconscious in his two story farmhouse about six miles northeast of Independence. He suffered second and third degree burns and smoke inhalation, while his wife Joanne was treated for shock and inhalation. The fire caused up to 15 thousand dollars in damage and is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal's Office.
