Frances J. Humbert 89 longtime Cedar Rapids resident died January 7 2000 at her Lisle home after a long illness. Services 11 a.m. Wednesday Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories burial Cedar Memorial Park. Visitation 5 to 8 tonight at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home and after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel. She leaves Burdell Humbert two daughters Marilyn Drew and Nancy Davis five granddaughters two grandsons and nine great grandchildren. Born March 16 1910 in Rippey Iowa she lived in Des Moines Cedar Rapids and Lisle and worked 22 years as a claim secretary for Mutual Fire & Automobile Insurance Co. of Cedar Rapids retiring in 1974. She was a member of St. Pauls United Methodist Church and enjoyed golf bowling needlework ballroom dancing and socializing at Elmcrest Country Club plus pinochle and bridge clubs. Her love of flowers and summer garden was noted in her obituary.
