Refunds Sought as Soybean Checkoff Debates Continue
VINTON Iowa—The state agriculture department reports many soybean checkoff refund requests since funds began being collected last month. Robert Lounsberry of Nevada notes an upcoming hearing within two weeks to settle a three month old court dispute over the referendum in Clarke County. He says the hearings may dampen efforts to pass a corn checkoff this session.
