Ruth Reeves Kling Walters 76 of 1400 Second Ave SE, widow of Charles Walters, died in Cedar Rapids. Born in Manchester in 1895, she was a retired Killian Co bridal consultant and attended St Paul’s United Methodist Church. No immediate survivors. Service at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday by Dr. Glenn W. McMichael, burial in Oakland Cemetery, Manchester. Friends may call at Turner Chapel East until 10 a.m. Wednesday. casket remains closed after the service.
Funeral services for 76 year old Vance McCray owner of several chick hatcheries in Iowa were conducted Monday in Mesa Arizona. He died Saturday and was buried in Mesa. McCray had hatchery operations in Dubuque Hazleton Wilton Junction and Victor and had sold his Cedar Rapids hatchery. He lived in Mesa during winter and returned to Cedar Rapids in spring. He was born March 20 1895 in Erie Pennsylvania and was a member of St Pauls Methodist and the Elks. Surviving are sons Royce Cedar Rapids and Warren Des Moines and daughter Maria Jean Des Moines. Aupperle dies in Marshalltown.
Mrs. George Chalupsky Catherine B. Chalupsky, 86, of 1906 J street SW, widow of George Chalupsky, died Friday after a brief illness. Born near Cedar Bluffs January 17, 1885, she lived on a farm near Fairfax until 1953, when she moved to Cedar Rapids. Surviving besides her husband are listed.
