Cedar Rapids Woman Killed In Auto Crash At Center Point
Mrs Jaromira Nepras Walker 61 wife of Joseph Walker 15 Seventh St SE Cedar Rapids died after a car driven by her husband skidded on a dangerous Cedar Rapids curve and struck the Linn county machine shop on Center Point Road NE. He fractured a rib and was bruised. No inquest. The couple were taken to a local hospital where Mrs Walker died at 7 15 pm from crushed chest deep scalp wound and internal injuries. The accident occurred as two northbound cars on the curve tried to pass. Police were notified later. Mrs Walker a lifelong Cedar Rapids resident is survived by husband a son Otto Nepras and a daughter Mrs H W Dahlstrand plus two grandchildren. She was a member of Karel IV lodge Z C B J. The body is at Barta chapel awaiting funeral arrangements.
