Special to The Gazette Mr and Mrs William Frayer celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in Fayette. They have lived in Fayette since their marriage. Mrs Frayer born November 5 1866 in Freehold New Jersey daughter of Thomas and Ann Conboy. She moved to Iowa as a child and lived on farms near Volga City before marriage. Mr Frayer born March 22 1862 northeast of Arlington in Fairfield township. He began work for the Chicago Milwaukee St Paul and Puget Sound railway in 1882, became foreman in 1886 and retired in 1933.

Pneumonia Fatal to Walter Bray Veteran Marion machinist
Walter J. Bray, 72, of 2505 Tenth Avenue, a machinist for LaPlante Choate, died Tuesday evening in a Vinton hospital after a brief pneumonia illness. Born July 10, 1867 in Campbellford Ontario, he gained fame as a high wheeler rider and set national bike records in 1889. Survived by two daughters, a son who died young, a sister, four grandchildren, and a widow Nellie Safley Bray who died in 1938. Funeral Thursday at 2 p.m. in Yocom chapel with burial at Red Oak Grove cemetery north of Tipton.

Mrs. Howard B. Leinbaugh of 915 Tenth Street, Marion, died Wednesday noon in a Cedar Rapids hospital after a long illness. A past matron of the Marion Chapter of the Eastern Star, she is survived by her husband. The body was taken to Yocom funeral home. funeral arrangements are not yet completed.
