Mrs Mae Downing aged 78 died at St Barnabas hospital in New York after a long illness. Born March 20 1882 in Fayette county Iowa she lived in Cedar Rapids 1920 to 1945 and was married to C E Downing who died in 1955. Survived by son Robert a New York correspondent for The Gazette. Funeral services held in New York at The Little Church Around the Corner with interment there.
Maude A. Mulsow 74, wife of Dr. Frederick W. Mulsow of 359 Garden Dr SE Cedar Rapids, died after a brief illness. Born November 19, 1886 in New Hartford, she married June 15, 1921. Surviving husband. member of St Pauls Methodist Cedar Chapter CES Daughters of Union Veterans women’s auxiliaries Iowa American Medical Assns Cedar Rapids Art Club. Services at Turner Chapel time to be announced.
Word comes of the death in Muscatine on Sunday of the Rev. L. E. Wardle aged 82 a former Cedar Rapids resident. Services will be held at the Fairbank funeral home in Muscatine Wednesday at 2 30 p m.

Three grandchildren two step grandchildren five great grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren are noted. Funeral service is set for 1 30 Wednesday by the Rev A J Stokes of the Inter denominational church. Burial at Linwood. Friends may call at the chapel after 3 on Tuesday.
Word circulated of the death on December 20 of Miss Mary Roberts former Cedar Rapids resident who had lived in California since 1920 She died in Long Beach California at a long term church memorial service.
