Youth Pilgrimage to UN Seeks Cedar Rapids Delegates
High school sophomores and juniors aged 16 to 18 may apply for the second annual Youth Pilgrimage to the United Nations. Four students per school will take a 110-question written exam and final selection rests with the pilgrimage committee of the Odd Fellows and Rebekah Lodges of Cedar Rapids. Last year’s winner was Joan Kehrer of Washington High. The tour runs mid July to early August with delegation from Iowa and adult leaders joining the trip to New York and other sites in the United States and Canada.
