Recreation Department Programs For Kids In Iowa City
Iowa City Recreation Division offers winter and spring programs for children ages 2 to 5. Parent Tot classes for 2 and 3 year olds, Story Hour and art activities run with an adult. For ages 3 to 5, programs include Animal Thinkers, Music Makers, Space Explorers and Edible Art across two eight week sessions at Robert A. Lee Center. The Iowa City Recreation Division will offer American Red Cross Lifeguard training this month with class registration through January 20. Participants will learn water rescue and safety skills under lifeguard supervision.

Area snow mobilers may enroll in the Iowa Department of Natural Resources Snowmobile Safety Course starting January 26 at the Coralville Lake Visitors Center 2850 Prairie Du Chien Rd Iowa City. The two class session costs 3 dollars per person and caps at 20 students. The law requires that any participants meet the course prerequisites.
