Cedar Rapids student killed in India while abroad

Jamison Russell Curran a 21 year old Grinnell College junior studying abroad in India was killed on December 21 in northern India. Indian officials hold one suspect and seek another as robbery is suspected. Curran had disappeared after failing to meet fellow students on December 24 and was last seen in Rishikesh in Uttar Pradesh near Delhi. Curran a religious studies major from Grinnell and Wash ington High School alumnus had returned from a semester with George Washington University’s SITA program. A memorial service was planned for Grinnell with President Russell Os good offering condolences and support.
