Fire history restored at Cedar Rapids central station display
Cedar Rapids firefighters cataloged cleaned and displayed artifacts from the old central station after the 2008 flood. Don Lacy and Lyle Theisen led restoration with help from The History Center and an intern, preserving a long history of fire marks and gear. Call (319) 286 5200 to donate memorabilia.

Linn County District Court affirmed Fire Chief Mark English's 2013 termination of veteran fire captain Tom Mackey for misconduct during a paramedic call.
