The Bureau of Indian Affairs rejected a Tama Mesquakie plan to open a ten grade private school for Mesquakie children in Cedar Rapids federal court. Judge Edward J. Gene Knudtson, 22, of 2201 J Street SW, was arrested Wednesday night at DeVars Night Club by Officer Dean Mollenhauer on charges of resisting arrest and intoxication. In a scuffle Knudtson allegedly struck the officer, who sustained abrasions and rib injuries. Knudtson pled innocent to intoxication with a March 28 trial date set for the resisting charge. He is held pending arraignment.
