Seven-county study aims to map enrollment declines
The Grant Wood Area Education Agency proposes a seven-county study on declining enrollments across Linn, Johnson, Cedar and other districts. Projections show Linn-Mar rising slightly while College Community, Marion Independent and Cedar Rapids face sizable losses. A 75,000 study would examine options beyond school closings, including program changes and grade redistributions, with board approval pending.
