Washington The Supreme Court refused Monday to hear Floren di Paglia of Des Moines who tried to bribe Drake University basketball player Benjamin James Brumbry Jr to shave points in a game versus Iowa State. He argued the 1953 Iowa sports bribery law is cruel and inhuman with up to 10 years and a $10,000 fine. he had been reduced to five months in jail and a $1,000 fine.
