More than 250 children ages 3 to 14 from all city sections attended the free concert in the Montrose hotel Terrace room. Prof. Max Daehler of Coe College performed with an informal talk between numbers and an encore of Galloping Horses from Animal Pictures. The Junior League arts committee sponsored the event, led by Mrs. Clare R. Marshall, highlighting music imagery as a path to appreciation.

Mr and Mrs George W Kirkpatrick of Cedar Rapids celebrated their sixty fourth wedding anniversary.
